Loans & Billing

The tuition and fees for 24-25: $74,687. The M1 curriculum is now 11-months which is great because you'll have more loan eligibility over the summer months.

Direct Loan

  1. File FAFSA: Penn's school code is 003378.
  2. You should be able to access Path@Penn to approve your loans (soon... I'm hoping for the week of June 17). It's under My Financial Aid - Award Office. You can accept, cancel, and/or lower your Direct loan for the academic year.
    • Sign up for direct deposit (select student billing account then direct deposit for refunds) so that any refunds and disbursements can go directly into your bank account once your balance due is paid.
      • Local address MUST be entered in Path@Penn
  3. Penn.Pay – Penn’s electronic billing system – view your university bill here. The first e-bill is scheduled for July 5, 2024.
    • Fall 2024 bill - $37,371 (without health insurance)
  4. Interest rate  --- 8.08%

Grad PLUS Loan

  1. Remember that you are not eligible to borrow any funds in excess of the M1 cost of attendance: $112,359.
  2. Disbursements from both the Direct and Grad PLUS Loans will be credited to your student account in 2 equal installments at the beginning of each semester (August and January).
  3. Interest rate --- 9.08%

Make sure to review any unsatisfied requirements like: loan entrance counseling on signing the Master Promissory Note for Direct and Grad PLUS (if needed). You can complete on www.studentaid.gov

Penn Payment Plan

Enrollment will open for the Fall 2024 Penn Payment Plan within Penn.Pay on May 15, 2024.

  • The 5-month open enrollment for Fall 2024 will begin on May 15th, 2024 and close on July 12th, 2024
  • The 4-month open enrollment for Fall 2024 will begin on May 15th, 2024 and close on August 14th, 2024
  • We are unable to accept payment plan enrollments after these deadlines

SRFS (central office) is offering a five-month payment plan and a four-month payment plan for the Fall 2024 term.

SRFS encourages students to sign up early with an estimated budget of what they will owe so they do not miss the deadline for their preferred plan. As long as the student registers for a plan by the posted deadlines, they are able to adjust their budget during the semester if charges are added or removed on the student's account.

The financial aid office (JMEC 6) is here for you and eager to help!  Please contact our office if you have any questions.
