Description of Itmat Expertise

Dr. Chacko is interested in finding new ways to radioactively tag and image proteins and small molecules designed to target molecular signatures of cancer and cardiovascular pathologies. This work has important implications in validating the diagnostic and therapeutic potential of novel proteins/small molecules via small animal imaging for ultimate translation to clinical studies.
