Description of Itmat Expertise

My main interest is to develop new molecular treatment approaches in the laboratory and bring them all the way to early phase human trials. I am specifically interested on neurodegenerative and inherited neurological diseases. Current projects include development of gene silencing for dystonia (currently proof of concept studies in rodents) and design of early phase clinical trials for Batten's disease, Huntington's disease and SCA1.
