PRIMARY AREAS OF RESEARCH:
- Role of arginylation in the function of intracellular protein targets (with focus on cytoskeleton, cell motility, and signaling)
- Molecular and cellular mechanisms of neurobehavioral developmental disorders
- Molecular neuropharmacology of sleep and sleep-related respiratory disorders (obstructive sleep apnea)
- Central control of breathing and its postnatal development
- Molecular and cellular mechanisms of hypoxia.
