The Department of Neuroscience at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in the tenure track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Neuroscience with a focus on basic or disease-related neuroscience. Responsibilities include development of a research program and participation in the education mission of the department. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.
Special attention will be given to those applying innovative molecular approaches. Highly competitive lab space and start-up funds are available for the successful candidate. The Department of Neuroscience is located within a vibrant environment on the University of Pennsylvania campus. The Mahoney Institute for Neurosciences (MINS) includes more than 100 labs, spanning the breadth of the neurosciences, brought together to foster collaborative and multidisciplinary approaches to advance our understanding of the brain.
