Description of Research Expertise
Basic science: Role of intracellular calcium dysregulation on neurondegeneration by apoptosis, inflammatory pyroptosis and ferroptosis, autophagy, synapse, cognitive dysfunction in neurodegenerative diseases and psychiatric disorders, especially in Alzheimer's Disease (AD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and major depression disorder (MDD). Intranasal dantrolene nanaoparticles as new effective treatment of AD, ALS and MDD. Mechanisms of anesthesia mediated dual effects of neuroprotection and neurotoxicity, especially in the developing brains and in Alzheimer's disease.Clinical science: Clinical use of Supraglottic Jet Oxygenation and Ventilation (SJOV) to maintain oxygenation/ventilation in patients with respiratory depression or apnea, and during elective or emergent difficult airway management.
