Description of Clinical Expertise

Dr. Sawinski's clinical expertise is in the area of renal transplantation, with specific focus on transplant in HCV+ or HIV+ recipients. Her practice includes other solid organ transplant recipients (heart, liver, and lung) with renal disease.

Description of Research Expertise

Dr. Sawinski's research interests include the effects of immunomodulatory viruses such as HCV, HIV,and BK on renal transplantation and the development of renal disease in other solid organ transplant recipients.
