Description of Itmat Expertise

Bioinformatics, single-cell biology, cell models, applications of cell models to studying pediatric diseases

Description of Research Expertise

Translational Computational Biology: Development of bioinformatics methods using mathematical and computational approaches to better understand the genetic contribution of biological variation to disease, coupling clinical information with high-dimensional biomedical data from next-gen sequencing, microarray, PCR, and proteomics experiments.

Computational Systems Biology: approaches to understanding the effects of genetic variation on developing biological systems through analysis of functional genomics studies and associated contributions to disease. Modeling of biological systems.

Bioinformatics: Machine-learning methods development and use. Next-generation sequence analysis. Microarray analysis. Database and knowledge management and data mining.

Genetics and genomics of development and reproduction.
