Yi Fan, MD, PhD
Associate Professor
Dr. Fan earned his BM/MD degree from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1999 and obtained a PhD in Pathology at Case Western Reserve University in 2009. Following his postdoctoral training at the Cleveland Clinic, he joined the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania as Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology in 2014.
Research Interest
The Fan Laboratory is dedicated to comprehending the mechanisms of lymphocyte entry into tumors and their dysfunction in the tumor microenvironment, specifically emphasizing the roles of tumor vasculature and myeloid cells. The overarching research mission is to develop innovative immunotherapy treatments for patients with solid tumors.
