NIH Pain Consortium Centers of Excellence in Pain Education

Centers of Excellence in Pain Education (CoEPE) was established to lead the development, evaluation, and distribution of pain management curriculum resources to enhance and improve the education of health care professionals. The National Institutes of Health Pain Consortium has funded 9 health professional schools as designated Centers of Excellence in Pain Education (CoEPEs). The University of Pennsylvania  Center of Excellence in Pain Education was established in 2012 as one of 9 NIH recognized  CoEPEs The CoEPEs act as hubs for the development, evaluation, and distribution of pain management curriculum resources for medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy, and other schools to enhance and improve how health professionals are taught about pain and its treatment.
