2022 Lynch Syndrome Symposium Attendee Comments

After my first cancer in 1980 while I was undergoing chemo, I used to tell myself if I could just hang on, that every year, medical knowledge, and treatment options would improve. And I was right! And after hearing the very brilliant and dedicated doctors and scientists who spoke today, I am encouraged for the future.

It was a wonderful experience to be with these doctors and scientists who are passionate about Lynch, and to meet other survivors and previvors.

First of all, I wanted to tell you how grateful I am that this symposium was organized. I loved the format, and I learned so much. All the doctors were super friendly to us patients; I couldn’t have asked for a better planned day. Will you please pass this on to Dr. Katona, Dr Wherry, and everyone who participated? Thank you so much!

Thank you to one and all for today's informative presentations. It was good to see Dr. Aarons; he was so kind, patient and helpful in my beginning relationship with PENN Medicine and the Abramson Cancer Center.

The program was no small feat, so very much appreciate all of the discussion and information.

I live in a place where LS knowledge is not super amongst medical professionals. As of next month, I will no longer have a GP. My gastroenterologist retires soon and there will be a greater need for me to share up-to-date information with doctors who are unfamiliar with LS and my LS history. The opportunity to hear today's speakers was great and will be helpful for me (and the next generation of our family) moving forward.

Many thanks to all the speakers, researchers and organizers who were involved in today's presentations.

Thank you and the whole team for such a wonderful symposium.   I am so happy to have been able to attend virtually.  I learned a great deal.  You have an incredible group of people working together at Penn.
