Project Details

This project would build upon a collaboration between these two groups to better understand and manage autoinflammatory diseases (AIDs) that dates back to 2005 and has resulted in numerous high-impact publications. Potential projects include biomarker discovery/validation, analysis of monocyte-to-macrophage differentiation defects in AID patients, novel genomic analyses of a uniquely large cohort, dissecting the heterogeneity of interferon-mediated AIDs, etc. Students would avail themselves of world-class resources, novel translational assays, and unique patient populations of the Translational Autoinflammatory Diseases section at NIAID, and the Immune Dysregulation Frontiers Program at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
