Symposium

Penn Center for Clinical Immunology Advances in Immune Mediated Disease: From Bench to Beside - June 29, 2007

Please join us for a major symposium on the Penn Campus, "Advances in
Immune Mediated Disease: From Bench to Bedside". This scientific
meeting, sponsored by the Penn Center for Clinical Immunology, will be
held on June 29, 2007.  The program will provide an opportunity for
trainees, scientists, and clinicians from diverse backgrounds to examine
commonalities in pathogenesis and prospects for treatment of the various
immune-mediated diseases they study and care for, respectively. It will
provide a venue where individuals acquire new ideas for research and
applied science from disciplines to which they would otherwise not be
exposed at disease or organ specific meetings.

As indicated in the attached file, the lineup of speakers includes
outstanding translational scientists who span the major areas of
immune-mediated diseases. A poster session held over the lunch hour will
highlight work that focuses on diagnosis, pathogenesis and treatment of
immune-mediated diseases by investigators in academia and industry
throughout the Delaware Valley.  Three abstracts submitted by trainees
(graduate students, medical students, or postdoctoral fellows) will be
selected for oral presentation during the morning session. One of the
oral abstract presenters will be awarded a $500.00 prize for
particularly meritorious work.

Below are the links for the registration form to confirm your attendance at
this symposium and return the form by email to rpd@mail.med.upenn.edu
<mailto:rpd@mail.med.upenn.edu>, or by fax to 215-898-0993 by June 17,
2007. The deadline for receipt of abstracts (< 250 words) at the above
address is June 1, 2007.
