Joining the Ridky Lab at Penn
Postdoctoral fellow, graduate student, undergraduate student, and research technician applicants are welcome to apply for positions in our lab.
Postdoctoral Fellows
Postdoctoral applicants should send an email to Dr. Ridky containing a letter of interest, and CV that includes three references. Postdoctoral research in the lab commonly involves close interactions both within the lab, and with collaborating groups at the University of Pennsylvania and outside institutions. Postdoctoral training includes participation in seminars and retreats in the UPenn Cancer Biology, and Cell and Molecular Biology Programs. General information about postdoctoral fellowships at UPenn may be found here.
Graduate Students
Ph.D. students in the lab are welcome from any number of areas including (but not necessarily limited to), Cancer Biology, Genetics, and Biology. Graduate education in the lab is enriched by participation in coursework, seminars, journal clubs, and research collaboration within the large and diverse faculty and programs of the UPenn Cell and Molecular Biology Graduate Group.
Prospective graduate students are encouraged to apply through the Biomedical Graduate Studies Program.
Students already enrolled at UPenn in a Biosciences Ph.D. program who are interested in a rotation should send an email to Dr. Ridky.

Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students in the lab participate in an intensive research experience working closely with both Dr. Ridky and other lab members. Undergraduate student efforts are focused on preparation for future Ph.D. studies in the biosciences and ideally start the summer after the freshman year with an envisioned college career-long commitment including summer work (reasonable vacation time is encouraged). Interested students should email Dr. Ridky directly and coordinate with the Penn Center for Undergraduate Research.
Technician Staff
Applicants for technical positions in the lab should apply through the UPenn Human Resources web site and also send a letter of interest to Dr. Ridky.
