Curriculum

Program Events

Penn DDCRF Fellows have the opportunity to participate in many activites and events throughout the fellowship year including:

• Clinical Investigator Student Trainee Forum (CIST) at NIH
• Symposiums for fellow presentations
• National DDCRF Annual Meeting in spring
• Relevant research symposia, journal clubs, etc.

• Combined Degree and Physician Scholar Program Monthly Events

 

Didactic Training

Penn DDCRF Fellows take two courses offered through the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CCEB) and participate in a monthly journal club:

• Fundamentals of Medical Research I: Epidemiologic Study Designs course
• Fundamentals of Biostatistics course

• Clinical Research Journal Club (monthly)

Advising

• Advising from research mentor (weekly meetings)
• Regular meetings with program advisor
