Edgar Weiss, M.S.

Associate Project Manager

Edgar Weiss joined the Delaware Valley Node of the CTN as a project manager in 2008. He previously worked for six years coordinating clinical trials for the Stokes Research Institute at The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in the Division of Human Genetics and Molecular Biology. He brings an additional 20 years of experience to the CTN in communications and human resources, having consulted for such organizations as Times Mirror, Arthur D. Little, DuPont, and SmithKline Beechum. He has also has taught on the grade school, college, and University levels. His work on CTN0027, the "START" project, a study evaluating the impact of methadone and Suboxone maintenance on liver function, including a pharmacogenetics component and a follow-up survey, has pressed him to use his management, human resources, and data management skills. A graduate of Villanova University with an MS in Human Resource Development with an emphasis in organizational design, Mr. Weiss is a member of the SHRM, ASTD and ACRP. He proudly includes being principal trombonist for the Lower Merion Symphony Orchestra.
