Nutrition Education Program

Upenn school of Medicine Our Mission

Our mission at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine is to engage medical students, residents, and health professionals in active learning about nutrition through an integrated medical education curriculum developed by multidisciplinary faculty.

Our innovative Nutrition Education Program serves as a national model for the successful integration of nutrition curriculum into medical schools, post-graduate residency programs, as well as dietetic, nursing, and physician assistant training programs.

We have developed user-friendly nutrition education resources to assist with all aspects of teaching nutrition for health professionals in training and practice.

Funding from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, National Cancer Institute and the Howard Heinz Endowment have made our programs possible.
