Brain Integrated Resource for Human Anatomy and Intracranial Neurophysiology (B(RAIN^2))
The Brain Integrated Resource for Human Anatomy and Intracranial Neurophysiology(B(RAIN2)) is a multicenter data resource that provides standardized imaging and intracranial neurophysiological data from patients who have undergone deep brain stimulation(DBS) implantation with intracranial electroencephalography(iEEG) recordings. The database includes electrophysiological recordings from the cerebral cortex and subcortical structures, alongside high - resolution neurological imaging scans taken at preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative stages. The data are systematically organized using the integrated Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS) format, specifically tailored for imaging and iEEG data. This standardized structure facilitates data integration, sharing, and analysis across research institutions. Furthermore, the database includes detailed metadata, such as diagnostic information and neurological assessment scores, providing a comprehensive profile of each patient's data. To address the significance of iEEG data, the challenges of data sharing, and its integration with imaging data, B(RAIN)² aims to provide a comprehensive pipeline and database in an integrated BIDS version.
