Colton Immune Profiling Initiative (CIPI) — Request for Proposals

Submission Period: Open now through April 3, 2026

The Colton Center invites Penn investigators to submit proposals for the Colton Immune Profiling Initiative (CIPI), launching July 2026. This two-year initiative will build a large-scale foundation model of human immune variation in autoimmune, autoinflammatory, and inflammatory diseases to uncover mechanistic principles of immune dysregulation, identify optimal treatments, and define immune health.

We seek proposals for patient cohorts that will contribute longitudinal biospecimens and clinical data across disease states (treatment initiation, flare/relapse, remission, and quiescence).

Funding: 2–3 awards of up to $400,000 each ($200K/year for two years) to support patient recruitment, biospecimen collection, clinical data annotation, and pilot mechanistic studies. Sample processing and immune profiling will be performed by Immune Health.
