Anesthesiology and Critical Care NIH T32 Application Process

Email Dr. Max Kelz or Dr. Roderic Eckenhoff with the following information:
- Application form (pdf)
- NIH Biosketch
- Proof of Higher Degree
- Letter of recommendation from proposed T32 mentor, and two other letters of recommendation

Cover Letter (< 2 pages), including:
- Career objectives
- Prior research experience
- Area of research interest
- Training goals for the T32 fellowship
- Proposed mentor
Applications submitted without all of the above, will not be considered.
Who should apply?
- Primarily physicians who have shown a research interest in anesthesiology, perioperative, and pain medicine, and a commitment to an academic career, are most competitive (MD, DO, MD PhD or equivalent). In recognition of the essential contributions of PhD scientists in training, the NIH has permitted us to appoint truly exceptional candidates who hold a PhD without a corresponding medical degree.
- US citizenship or permanent residency required.
- Fellowships are awarded only to those who have been approved by the T32 Executive Committee
