Description of Clinical Expertise
As a pediatric intensivist, I care for critically ill children with sepsis, multiple organ dysfunction, respiratory failure, and other complex forms of critical illness. I have particular clinical expertise in pediatric sepsis, cytokine storm syndromes, critical illness in immunocompromised children, and organ support technologies such as extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and therapeutic plasma exchange. I also serve as a clinical resource for evaluating patients with immune dysregulation as a member of the Dysregulated Immune Response Team.Description of Research Expertise
I lead a translational research program focused on precision immunology in pediatric sepsis and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS). My work integrates plasma proteomics, high-dimensional immune phenotyping, phospho-flow cytometry, single-cell transcriptomics, and host genomics to define biologically distinct sepsis endotypes, identify treatable immune dysregulation, and develop rapid biomarker-based approaches for risk stratification and targeted immunomodulation.
