macOS Mojave Upgrade
Attention Mac OS Mojave (10.14) DART Supported Users,
DART has identified that you use a supported Mac computer that is running macOS Mojave. macOS Mojave will not receive a security update for the recently discovered zero-day exploit in iMessage named FORCEDENTRY (CVE-2021-30860). This exploit can be used to gain access to your computer remotely and install spyware. macOS Mojave is end of life and will stop receiving all critical updates from Apple in November 2021.
Recommended Steps: Update to macOS BigSur (11.6) as soon as possible with the options below.
Option 1:
Upgrading to Big Sur with DART assistance is the preferred method.
- Enter a helpdesk ticket and an LSP will walk you through the steps to upgrade.
Option 2:
Upgrading to Big Sur without DART assistance.
- Backup any local data before starting the upgrade.
- Check that any custom or scientific software is compatible with Big Sur.
