The Hammer Neuromodulation Lab focuses on developing novel neuromodulation therapies for movement disorders like Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, cerebellar ataxia, and dystonia. We aim to better understand the neurophysiology of these disorders to enhance current treatments like deep brain stimulation (DBS) and develop new technologies. As part of Penn's Center for Neuroengineering & Therapeutics, we collaborate across engineering and medicine to advance therapies for movement disorders.
