Description of ITMAT Expertise

Dr. Alavi's work involves molecular imaging techniques, such as positron emission tomography with a variety of tracers, to probe biological and pharmacological processes in animals and in human beings for the purpose of identifying central nervous system disorders, cancer, and inflammatory or infectious diseases.
