Description of Clinical Expertise
As a pediatric intensivist, I provide care for critically ill children across a broad range of diagnoses. I have specific clinical expertise in managing sepsis, cytokine storm syndromes, and organ support technologies such as extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and therapeutic plasma exchange. I also serve as a clinical resource for evaluating patients with immune dysregulation as a member of the Dysregulated Immune Response Team.
Description of Research Expertise
I lead a translational research program focused on the immunobiology of pediatric sepsis and multi-organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS). My work integrates high-dimensional immune profiling—including proteomics, phospho-flow cytometry, and single-cell RNA sequencing—to identify immune endotypes that inform risk stratification and targeted therapies. Description of ITMAT Expertise
As a pediatric intensivist, I care for critically ill children across a wide spectrum of ages and underlying pathologies. My clinical and translational research efforts are focused on enhancing our understanding of the immunobiology of pediatric sepsis, particularly in immunocompromised children.
