Getting Here

Princeton, New Jersey is conveniently located between Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). 

It is easily accessible by train, which runs along the Northeast Corridor line and also stops at Newark airport. Both Amtrak and NJ TRANSIT trains stop at Princeton Junction. Travelers can then transfer to a single-car train operated by NJ TRANSIT, known locally as the "Dinky," for the five-minute ride to Princeton Station. The station is located on Alexander Street at the southern end of campus. 


By car:

Ride share seems to be slightly cheaper from Newark. From either airport the ride is approximately an hour or less, depending on the time of day.


By train:

From EWR, travelers can connect to NJ Transit and Amtrak rail service using the Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station.  

Transfer to NJ Transit. Follow signs for the Northeast Corridor (NEC).

Board NJ Transit to NY Penn Station.

Exit at Newark Penn Station.

Board NJ Transit Northeast Corridor Line to Trenton.

Exit at Princeton Junction.

Transfer to NJ Transit Prinecton Dinky to Princeton. 

Exit at Princeton. Walk or ride share from there.


From PHL, board Septa Regional Rail Airport Line to William J. Gray III 30th Street Station. Amtrak* to Trenton Transit Center. 

Board NJ Transit Northeast Corridor to NY Penn Station. 

Exit at Princeton Junction.

Transfer to NJ Transit Prineton Dinky to Princeton. 

Exit at Princeton. Walk or ride share from there.
