Innate and Adaptive Immunity to Pathogens

The faculty in the Innate and Adaptive Immunity to Pathogens interest area are focused on defining cellular responses to infection by diverse microbes, including bacteria, eukaryotic pathogens, and viruses. Faculty in this area also investigate the interactions between the mucosal immune system, commensal microbiota, and microbial pathogens. A broad array of interdisciplinary approaches is taken, including cellular immunology, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, genomics, metabolomics, microbiology, molecular biology, and proteomics.
