Perelman School of Medicine Medical Humanities Council

The Medical Humanities Council oversees arts and humanities programming and development within PSOM. We hold community discussions, host speakers, and showcase student & faculty work throughout the year. We also partner with organizations both within and outside of PSOM to promote the humanities in medicine.

OUR PURPOSE

1. To provide a space for collaboration, publicity, and dialogue between existing and future humanities and arts groups 
2. To serving as an organizational umbrella for projects, committees, and ideas that extend beyond the scope of one particular student organization 
3. To advocate for arts and humanities interests to medical school and health center faculty in areas of programming, curriculum, scholarly/professional development, and administrative infrastructure
