More About Dr. Greysen
Dr. Greysen is the Chief of the Division of Hospital Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and Principal Investigator for the MOVE ON study. His research focuses on improving mobility for patients who have difficulty staying active due to health conditions such as recent hospitalization, surgery, stroke. The overall goal of this research is to improve the quality of life for these populations by improving function and maximizing independence. Dr. Greysen is also the Executive Director of the Penn Center for Evidence-based Practice which helps to translate and implement the best results from research into real world settings. He is also a practicing hospitalist who cares for patients at Penn Medicine hospitals including the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Greysen earned his medical degree from the University of Texas and Masters in Health Science from Yale.
Co-Investigators
David A. Asch, MD, MBA
Dr. Asch is the Senior Vice Dean for Strategic Initiatives in the Perelman School of Medicine and the John Morgan Professor at the Perelman School of Medicine and The Wharton School. His research is aims to understand and improve how physicians and patients make choices and change behaviors to promote better quality of care and better quality of life. He is the author of more than 350 published papers and has won numerous awards for training and research. From 1998 to 2012, Dr. Asch was Executive Director of the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics. He holds an MD from Cornell University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Kevin Volpp, MD, PhD
Dr. Volpp is the founding Director of the Center for Health Incentives and Behavioral Economics (CHIBE) and the Mark V. Pauly President’s Distinguished Professor at Perelman School of Medicine and Health Care Management at the Wharton School. His work focuses on developing and testing insights from behavioral economics to improve healthy habits and provider performance. Dr. Volpp has published over 300 articles and, along with Dr. David Asch, Dr. Volpp co-created the Penn Way to Health platform, which has been used in over 200 studies (including MOVE ON) to deliver behavioral interventions using mobile devices such as smartphones and wearable activity trackers (such as FitBit). Dr. Volpp earned an MD from the Perelman School of Medicine and a PhD from The Wharton School, both at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mary Naylor, PhD, RN
Dr. Naylor is a the Marian S. Ware Professor of Gerontology at the School of Nursing and Director of the NewCourtland Center for Transitions and Health. Her work focuses on health care innovations to improve outcomes for chronically ill older adults while reducing health care costs. In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of clinical scholars and health services researchers, her work has resulted in the Transitional Care Model, a cost-effective advanced practice nurse-led model to improve the transitions of older adults who are navigating complex and often fragmented systems of care. Dr. Naylor earned her Masters in Nursing and PhD at the University of Pennsylvania.

Haideliza is an Associate Director with 17+ years of experience in research. She has experience in both academia and pharmaceutical industry. Haideliza has project managed and coordinated complex investigational device and drug trials.
Ai Leen Oon
Clinical Research Coordinator
Ai Leen is a research coordinator working on the study. She will be reaching out to eligible patients and mailing out study tools to participants. She can answer any questions regarding the study, especially more so concerning Way to Health accounts or topics.
Maddy Fair
Clinical Research Coordinator
Maddy is one of the primary contacts for participants of this study. She will be reaching out to eligible patients, coordinating and hosting health coaching visits, running functional assessments, and assisting with Fitbit setup. Maddy can answer any questions you have about the Move On study.
Matt Loreg
Clinical Research Coordinator
Matt is one of the primary contacts for participants of this study. He will be preparing supply boxes for shipping, assisting in contacting eligible patients, and scheduling individual and group health coaching sessions. If any questions or concerns arise, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Fatimah Al dulaimee
Clinical Research Coordinator
Fatimah is one of the primary contacts for participants of this study. She will be conducting functional assessments, leading health coaching sessions, and shipping out study materials to participants. She is also available to answer any questions you may have about the Move on study.
