We are pleased to welcome Keith J. Dreyer, DO, PhD, as our 49th Pendergrass Lecturer.

Dr. Dreyer is Chief Data Science Officer and Chief Imaging Information Officer at Mass General Brigham (MGB).  He founded the MGH & BWH Center for Clinical Data Science and oversees the development and deployment of AI at MGB.  

Dr. Dreyer has held numerous positions with the American College of Radiology including chairman of the Informatics Commission and is currently the ACR DSI’s Chief Science Officer.  His most recent focus has been on garnering feedback regarding the use of AI in clinical practice from radiologists nationally and uncovering the challenges that exist in medical imaging AI today.

In 2023, Dr. Dreyer received global recognition for his achievements when Time Magazine named him to its first-ever TIME100 AI List, highlighting the 100 most influential individuals in artificial intelligence today. The list features leaders, policymakers, artists, and entrepreneurs across a variety of fields from countries around the world. Additionally, Dr. Dreyer received The Dr. Joe Gitlin Award in 2023. Presented annually from SIIM, this honorary award is given in recognition of outstanding lifetime contributions to the field of imaging and informatics through the development of innovative, high-impact solutions.
