Department of Medicine Clinical Trials Unit (CTU)

The Penn Department of Medicine’s newly created Clinical Trials Unit (DOM CTU) is staffed by research personnel including project managers, research coordinators, regulatory specialist, recruiter specialist, and research assistants.   The DOM CTU staff provide operational and other support for a wide spectrum of clinical trials ranging from phase I-IV, investigator/industry initiated, different disease states and varying complexities.  Involvement ranges from consulting to serving as the primary staff handling all clinical trial activation & execution tasks.  

DOM CTU staff are trained in the “Penn way” and have access to Penn systems, with a DOM CTU supervisor assigned to manage performance.

Dedicated Research Personnel, Project Management, Trial Coordination, Feasibility, Study Start-Up, Regulatory Submissions, Budget Development, Supervision of research personnel, Tools & Best Practices, Advising

Costs:

Services are provided on a fee-for-service basis or % effort for federal awards.  Study coordinator, project manager & other DOM CTU staff per hour rate is similar to temp agencies.  Proposal options for entire project are negotiable.
