At the 2024 American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress, Nate McLauchlan (PSOM 2024) was selected for an Owen H. Wangensteen Scientific Forum Award for excellence in trauma/burn/critical care research for his work under the mentorship of Dr. Jeremy Cannon.
Shariq Raza was selected as among the Top 3 presentations at the European Conference on Trauma and Emergency Surgery, Lisbon, April 29, 2025 for his study, "Video is worth ten thousand words – Characterizing the unpredictable deflation profile of a compliant resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta catheter." He will be an invited attendee at the 2025 ECTES in Aachen, Germany.
Jeremy Kaswer (EM-SCC fellow, class of 2024) wins first place in the Young Physician Section Research Competition at the Association for Academic Emegency Medicine for his presentation, “Professional sport championship days altering city trauma patterns.” (PI: Jose Pascual Lopez)
