Stephenson Foundation Term Assistant Professor of Innovation
Noor Momin, Ph.D. is the Stephenson Foundation Term Assistant Professor of Innovation at the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the Center for Precision Engineering for Health (CPE4H). She holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from UT Austin. She earned her Ph.D. in Biological Engineering at MIT with Prof. Dane Wittrup where she engineered a localization strategy that improves the safety and effectiveness of cytokine therapies used for cancer treatment. Her patented strategy has been licensed to Cullinan Oncology for human clinical trials. Noor is passionate about powering effective therapies that advance patient care and combat globally burdensome diseases. She completed her postdoctoral training with Prof. Matthias Nahrendorf at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital where she examined the role of leukocytes in arrhythmia. The Momin lab investigates the immune system in cardiovascular diseases including heart failure, atherosclerosis, and arrhythmia. Her research seeks to develop novel diagnostics and treatments for these diseases by leveraging insight and tools in cardiovascular immunology, protein engineering, and pharmacokinetic modeling.
