By initially treating pancreatic tumors with proton radiation, pancreatic tumors could be much more efficiently attacked by CAR T-cell therapy, according to a new preclinical study led by Carl June, MD, and Ugur Uslu, MD, of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Constantinos Koumenis, PhD, Uri Amit, MD, PhD, and Ioannis Verginadis, PhD, of Radiation Oncology.
