New Center for Cell Therapy and Transplant Launches at Penn Medicine

We are proud to announce the launch of the Center for Cell Therapy and Transplant (CCTT) at the Perelman School of Medicine, with Dr. David L. Porter appointed as its inaugural Director. An internationally recognized expert in stem cell transplantation and CAR T-cell therapy, Dr. Porter will lead the Center in advancing groundbreaking treatments to improve and save lives.

The CCTT’s mission includes:

• Delivering the most effective and safe cell therapies for all diseases

• Ensuring access to curative stem cell transplants for every eligible patient

• Leading a robust clinical trial portfolio in cell and stem cell therapies

• Uniting experts and resources across Penn Medicine to streamline care

Under Dr. Porter’s leadership, the CCTT will strengthen Penn’s role as a national leader in cell therapy, cancer care, and beyond—benefiting patients with cancer, autoimmune disorders, and other serious conditions.
