This Doctor Saved His Own Life. Now He’s on a Mission to Save Thousands More

After finding a cure to his own rare disease through an already existing FDA approved drug, David Fajgenbaum, MD, MBA, an Assistant Professor of Translational Medicine and Human Genetics, who cofounded the nonprofit “Every Cure”, is now using artificial intelligence to find hidden cures in other already-approved drugs. “AI won’t be perfect, but it can help find the drugs that it makes sense for researchers to explore further,” says Fajgenbaum.
