Two Penn Medicine Leaders Make Philly Mag's Most Influential List

Philadelphia Magazine’s list of the Most Influential Philadelphians includes two Penn Medicine leaders who are shaping medicine in our region and beyond: UPHS CEO Kevin B. Mahoney, and CAR T cell pioneer Carl June, MD. The magazine highlighted Mahoney’s efforts to grow the health system – including outpatient care delivered at home and virtually — and June’s winning of the 2024 Breakthrough Prize and efforts to use CAR T to tackle more cancers and autoimmune diseases. J. Larry Jameson, MD, PhD. the former EVP of the University of Pennsylvania for the Health System and Dean of the Perelman School of Medicine, is also among this year's honorees for his strong leadership as he assumed the interim presidency of Penn.
