Study Overview

Study Purpose

The purpose of this sleep study is to evaluate whether Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) in patients with memory changes delays cognitive decline and preserves everyday function. 

Participant Recruitment

We are currently in the post-recruitment phase of our study and are no longer recruiting subjects. Our eligibility criteria for when we were recruiting subjects can be found here: eligibility criteria

Participation 

Current participants and their designated study partner are in the study for approximately 12 months. The study involves 7 visits over the course of one year, and pays up to $300 compensation for the participant's time and up to $100 for the study partner. Eligible participants can also receive a cognitive assessment, brain MRI and amyloid PET scan at no cost; they can decline the MRI or PET if they wish. All participation in this research study is voluntary, and participants may withdraw at anytime.
