Research Topic: Metabolomics

Metabolomics is an emerging section of systems biology that incorporates high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) with multivariate statistical analysis for identification and quantification of metabolites in biological systems. The overarching goal of my work involves developing a novel hyphenated UPLC/MS-NMR workflow and bioinformatics. The focus of my work includes identifying perturbations in metabolic homeostasis due to altered circadian output in sleep deprivation and biomarker discovery in Sickle cell disease.
