Linked Buttons!

Passages of text with bold, italic, superscript, subscript, and link styling.

It's good for accessibility NOT to use headings just to make text bigger so...

Callout style 1: Here's a passage of text to emphasize to your users without using a heading!

Callout style 2: Here's another passage of text to emphasize to your users -- again without using a heading!

Here's what computer code looks like.
the Love status on Penn's campus
The Love statue was designed by American artist, Robert Indiana.

And here's what it looks like to have a paragraph of text with a floated image.

Some fun facts from the Almanac: "Since 1999, the LOVE sculpture has become a centerpiece of Penn’s campus, starring in numerous photos and the gathering place for numerous events, from candlelight vigils to casual meetups. And in 1998, Philadelphia had gained another example of Robert Indiana’s work when the Association for Public Art installed an Amor statue at 18th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway."

Navigation Options

SSFlex 2 offers several navigation options beyond what you see in this demo:

  • Horizontal with Dropdown (used here) - appears just below the site header and is restricted to two levels of navigation. If there are too many navigation items to display, a “More” button will appear automatically containing the overflow items.

  • Vertical - appears down the left side on desktop screens; a good option when you have lots of navigation items or want to show three levels of navigation rather than just two.

  • Popup - navigation is accessed via a "Menu" button, similar to the mobile experience for all themes.

  • Simple Top Bar with Sidebar - a few menu items display at the very top of the page, above the header, with a "More" link to access the rest. Submenu items display below the header in a left sidebar. This is a great option for sites that only have a few menu items or sites that would benefit from a side navigation in place of the traditional dropdown.

  • None - for small 1-2 page sites that do not require any navigation.

Global Footer

In the footer below, which appears on every page of the site, the Links of Interest, Social Media, and Search sections are all optional. The section headings can also all be customized.
