Accordions, Feeds, and Tables

Making Homemade Ice Cream

Place your ice cream maker bowl in the freezer at least 12–24 hours beforehand (if it has a removable bowl).

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until the sugar dissolves.
  2. For extra creaminess, you can heat the mixture slightly in a saucepan (do not boil) to fully dissolve sugar, then cool it.

Refrigerate the base for at least 2 hours or overnight. Cold base = smoother texture.

  1. Pour the chilled mixture into the ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20–30 minutes).
  2. It should reach a soft-serve consistency.

In the last 2–3 minutes of churning, add chocolate chips, crushed cookies, fruit, or nuts.

Transfer to a freezer-safe container, cover with plastic wrap pressed against the surface (to prevent ice crystals), and freeze for 2–4 hours until firm.

Ideally, you'd have more content in those accordions to warrant using them, but you get the idea!

Now, switching gears a bit, here are some feeds.
