Graduate, Undergraduate, and H.S. Students
Nicholas Godwin
Nicholas Godwin is a rising Junior at the University of Pennsylvania in the Vagelos Program in Molecular Life Sciences! He is under the supervision of Dr. Edward Kreider and Natalia Perez working on vaccine adjuvants. In his free time, he likes playing the Flute
Nathanael Moore
Temporary Worker
Nathanael Moore is an undergraduate student at The College of New Jersey looking towards a Ph.D. in Microbiology/Toxicology. Nate joined the Weissman lab in July 2024 under the supervision of Dr. Elena Atochina-Vasserman working to produce mRNA for a variety of studies, including the Norovirus Vaccine.
Jessica Vasserman
Undergraduate, Student Co-op Worker
Jess Vasserman is an undergraduate student at Drexel University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Japanese. After graduating, she plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Vaccinology. Jess joined Dr. Weissman's lab in April 2023 through Drexel's co-op program and is currently learning how to produce and work with nucleotide-modified mRNA.
Joseph Lim
Joseph Lim was born in Montvale, New Jersey, and is a rising Senior at Seoul International School in South Korea. Joseph began his internship at the Weissman lab in June 2026 under the supervision of Dr. Elena Atochina-Vasserman, learning and studying the science and mechanism behind RNA vaccines, as well as mRNA production and LNP formulation techniques with guidance of everyone in the lab. In his free time, he likes playing the Saxophone, eating KitKats, and talking to new people.
Rachael Hofman
Rachael Hofman is a rising Junior at Council Rock North High School interested in biomedical and molecular engineering, microbiology, and many other scientific fields. She joined the Weissman lab in the summer of 2026 under the supervision of Dr. Elena Atochina-Vasserman, learning how to produce nucleotide-modified mRNA and formulate lipid nanoparticles.
In her free time, she likes pole vaulting, being outdoors, and painting.
Isabella (Bella) Percec
Isabella (Bella) Percec is an incoming Freshman at Cornell University where she is pursuing a degree in biology on the Pre-Med track. Bella joined the Weissman Labin the summer of 2025 under the supervision of Dr. Elena Atochina-Vasserman, where she worked on mRNA synthesis and cell culture. She returned to the Lab in the summer of 2026 to continue expanding her research experience, learning how to produce nucleotide-modified mRNA and formulate lipid nano particles.
In her free time, Bella enjoys traveling, painting, cooking, and baking.
Charlotte Lin
Charlotte Lin is a rising senior at Winchester High School interested in biochemistry, immunology, and is interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. In the summer of 2026, Charlotte joined the Weissman Lab under the supervision of Dr. Elena Atochina-Vasserman, learning how to produce nucleotide-modified mRNA an assisting in the work of senior researchers.
In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, hiking, and gymnastics.
Sean Terdprisant
Sean Terdprisant is a rising junior at International School Bangkok. Sean joined the Weissman Lab in the summer of 2026 under the supervision of Dr. Elena Atochina-Vasserman. His work focuses on the production of nucleoside-modified mRNA transcripts and the formulation of one-component dendrimer platforms for targeted delivery.
