doctoring course policy

In order to ensure continuity, MD-PhD students are required to stay in their Doctoring group until the completion of Doctoring II in December of your third year. This means that you will need to attend approximately six sessions after you have exited the clerkships in June of the second year. Two of these will be while studying for the boards or while conducting the first month of a lab rotation, and four will take place after the start of the graduate school semester.

If you have a time conflict because of a graduate school course or required graduate school activity, the grad school requirement takes precedence, since you are in the full time PhD-phase of the program. If you need to miss a Doctoring session because of a grad school requirement, contact your Doctoring preceptor to make arrangements to make up the session(s).
