Lunch will be provided."Big Data in Medical Research"Stephen Master, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Cornell University

Stephen Master received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his MD and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. After completing his residency in Clinical Pathology at HUP and serving as Chief Resident, he joined the faculty at Penn as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, as well as a member of the Genomics and Computational Biology Graduate Group. For a number of years he served as course director for the BGS Introduction to Bioinformatics Course, and he also lectured extensively about bioinformatics to residents and fellows who were training at Penn. In 2015 he left to become Director of the Central Laboratory at Weill Cornell Medicine / New York Presbyterian Hospital. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine as well as Chief of Clinical Chemistry Laboratory Services.
