Visiting Scholar Series of the Institute on Aging

Dr. Kawas, Professor of Neurobiology at the University of California, Irvine, is a geriatric neurologist and researcher in the area of extreme aging. Her work is concentrated on the epidemiology of aging and Alzheimer's disease, in the determinants of successful aging, longitudinal and clinical pathological investigations, clinical trials, and most recently, studies in cognitive and functional abilities of the Oldest Old (over 90 years of age).

The lecture, which is sponsored by the Institute on Aging, is at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, in the II/III Auditorium of the Biomedical Research Building (BRB).
