James Metz is Associate Professor and Vice-Chair for clinical operations in Radiation Oncology, as well as Editor-in-Chief of OncoLink, the oldest and largest cancer information resource available online.

Dr. Metz specializes in treating gastrointestinal malignancies with radiation therapy, often using multimodality clinical trials. He has written patient guides for prostate cancer and breast cancer and is a key member of the clinical team that developed the Robert's proton center at Penn.

The New York Times published a superb visual explanation of proton radiation therapy. At the lecture, hear how Penn Medicine is using this new cutting-edge treatment for cancer.

The lecture is at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, in the Austrian Auditorium of the Clinical Research Building (CRB). A reception in the CRB Lobby will follow the lecture at 5:30 p.m.
