New Research on BRCA Mutations and Breast Cancer

Katherine Nathanson, MD, deputy director of the Abramson Cancer Center and director of genetics at the Basser Center for BRCA, discussed new research on “reversion mutations” in BRCA1/2, which are secondary mutations that arise in response to therapy. The research opens the door for exploring more targeted approaches to improve breast cancer treatment.
