Uncovering a Way for Pro-B Cells to Change Trajectory

Researchers from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Perelman School of Medicine have found a way to allow B cells to generate other cell types at a certain developmental stage. Michael Atchison of Penn Vet says of the protein behind this mechanism, “Since it’s expressed everywhere and it’s involved with so many lineages, the potential for regenerative medicine is quite high.”
