The Trainee Advocacy Alliance is a collaborative group of PSOM students and faculty who are committed to creating, nurturing, and maintaining a community that embodies inclusivity, diversity, and equity. TAA provides support for all members of the Penn Medicine community, and especially those from under-resourced backgrounds and identities that are historically underrepresented in the biomedical sciences.

Cultural Resource Centers enrich the campus environment through academic engagement, cultural celebration, and community building. These community hubs are critical to providing a sense of belonging while promoting intercultural understanding. Built on a rich history of social advocacy, the centers work collaboratively to create welcoming and affirming spaces for students to learn about themselves and their communities.

Penn Medicine Cares is an initiative connecting students to events hosted by local (Philadelphia region) organizations that have requested volunteer help.

Thrive at Penn (TAP) for incoming graduate and professional students is an online program that assists students with their Penn experience. Thrive at Penn provides information about resources available to support student success. Topics covered include academic integrity; campus engagement, wellness and health; and healthy relationships and sexual violence prevention. Please take advantage of the resources found within Thrive at Penn at your own pace.

Penn Violence Prevention (PVP) engages the Penn community in the prevention of sexual violence, relationship violence, stalking, and sexual harassment on campus. We foster collaborative relationships across campus to ensure a survivor-centered, multi-faceted approach to support services and primary prevention. Through collective community action, we are committed to ending interpersonal violence by addressing gender inequity, social injustice, and oppression through outreach and education.

Family Resource Center at Penn is a hub for information, resources, activities and advocacy for students and post-docs with children. The Family Center provides a forum for student parents to connect and develop supportive networks, and offers a welcoming and family-friendly environment for Penn students, post-docs, caregivers, and children.
