Dr. Claudia Fances Baldassano is a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in the care of individuals with bipolar disorder. She completed her residency training in both Neurology and Psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital and fellowship at the Harvard Bipolar Program before joining Penn in 2000. In addition to her clinical work, she has been involved in research and clinical trials and cutting edge treatments. Dr. Baldassano specializes in difficult to treat bipolar patients and delivering evidence based care.

Mario Cristancho, M.D.
Medical Director, Interventional Psychiatry
Dr. Cristancho’s clinical focus is in the area of mood disorders particularly treatment resistant depression and Obsessive Compulsive disorder. He specializes in the use of psychopharmacology and neuromodulation interventions including Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Esketamine, Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS), and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS). His clinical and research activities include the assessment and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, optimization of existing treatments, and development of new therapeutic options. He has co-authored over 30 manuscripts and projects including peer reviewed papers and book chapters in mood disorders and neuromodulation.
Dr. Cristancho is the Chief of Interventional Psychiatry at PENN and has developed and maintained multidisciplinary clinical, research, and innovation collaborations within and outside PENN.
He is also involved in the supervision, teaching, and mentoring of medical students, psychiatry residents, and fellows in mood disorders.
Golkoo Hosseini, MD, MSED
Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry
Dr. Hosseini is specialized in treatment of mood and anxiety disroders using psychopharmacology and neuromodulation interventions including Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Esketamine, Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS), and Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS). Dr. Hosseini also collaborates with renowned Penn Psychiatry Research Centers including Mood and Anxiety Disorders Treatment and Research program, Center for Neuromodulation of Depression and Stress, and Penn BrainSTIM. Furthermore, Dr. Hosseini is the Associate Program Director for Penn Psychiatry Residency with a focus on resident supervision, psychotherapy, and neuromodulation.
Dr. Edwin Kim specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of substance use and co-occurring psychiatric disorders.

Christian Kohler, MD specializes in care of persons with psychotic disorders, in particular first-episode and clinical high risk. He is the clinical director in the Neurodevelopment and Psychosis Section and directs the coordinated special care programs of early psychosis care at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Daniel Wolf, MD, PhD, is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in the care of individuals with schizophrenia and other psychotic conditions. He also conducts brain imaging research to understand the biology of these conditions. Dr. Wolf completed his MD, PhD training at Yale University, his psychiatry residency at the MGH-McLean program at Harvard University, and a Neuropsychiatry fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, and has been an Attending Psychiatrist at Penn since 2008.
